I imagine that nobody will find me in this little corner of the world. But,in the event that you do, please let me know. I am on facebook, but it is not a good venue for the posting of conversations that hope to scratch a bit below the surface.

I'll begin with this: I believe there is a great deal of intelligent people who are of a conservative ilk. If this is the case, why are they not being brought forward as candidates to carry the flag for conservative thought in politics? Are we so far into a American Idol mentality that substance is no longer electable?
